Ingredients

For 1 serving

  • 50 g (½ cup) ground oats (oat flour or blitzed rolled oats)
  • 5 g (1 tbsp) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 20 g (0.7 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 scoop (30 g) chocolate whey protein
  • 1 egg and 1 egg white
  • 50 g (⅓ cup) sour cherries, fresh or thawed
  • 250 ml (1 cup) boiling water

Instructions

  1. 1Put the ground oats, chopped chocolate, protein powder and cocoa in a small pot.
  2. 2Pour over 250 ml of boiling water, stir and let it stand for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add the egg and egg white, set the pot over medium heat straight away and stir constantly until it thickens into a smooth pudding, 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. 4Spoon into a bowl and top with the cherries.

Tips

  • Keep stirring once the egg goes in, so it thickens evenly instead of scrambling.
  • Any fruit works instead of cherries; a little extra dark chocolate or chia seeds on top are good too.
